DYFED-Powys Police have taken to Twitter to deter the public from visiting the Mid Wales Hospital in Talgarth.

The B&R Express has previously told how boy racers as well as ‘urban explorers’ and ‘ghost hunters’ have plagued the dilapidated site.

But the police have warned that anybody trespassing at the hospital, which is riddled with asbestos, will be investigated.

The police tweeted they are able to seize nuisance cars under Section 59 of the 2002 Police Reform Act. It comes after reports of five cars ‘wheel spinning’ on the night of Saturday, July 8.

So far, one man has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving on Sunday, July 9, and another on suspicion of drink driving and possession of cannabis on Friday July 7.

The police are continuing to patrol the area.
