A group of kind-hearted cousins have raised more than £700 for charities by running a cake stall.

Following their success in previous years, Ellen (13), Henry (11), and Amelia (10), Harry (7) and George (7) decided to bake once more during their Easter break.

The charities they decided to support this year were The Brain Tumour Charity and the Wales Air Ambulance.

They created posters to promote their cake stall and began requesting contributions to prepare their cakes.

The sale was held on Friday, March 29 outside The Strand Cafe in Builth Wells.

Henry is a member of Pontfaen YFC.

The cousins would especially like to thank Mellissa Lewis, Castell Howell, Cross Hands Richard Vellacott, Tesco Community Champion, Llandrindod Wells, Helen Tuite, Co-op Brecon Road Store and Sunny Side Eggs Powys for their kind donations of ingredients to make their cakes.

They whipped up an assortment of delights, including Biscoff, chocolate and lemon cupcakes, rocky road, Easter nests, tray bakes, and chocolate cake.

They raised an impressive £730 for the charities and would like to thank everyone who supported them.

Feedback on their baking has been great too.

Penny Jones said: “You are an amazing team and worked hard in all weathers too! The chocolate cake was delicious!”

Joanne Jones added: “Wow, that’s amazing. They tasted delicious too.”
