TEENAGER Hannah Coles has shorn her locks - to fulfil a promise she made to her best friend before she died at the end of a 12 month cancer fight.
The 14-year-old from Talgarth promised best pal Naina Dickens-Chauhan that she would shave her head but sadly 13-year-old Naina, from Llandefalle, near Brecon, died in May this year - before Hannah could carry out her promise.
Hannah planned to shave her head to support Naina, who lost her hair due to chemotherapy, and boost a fundraising appeal to purchase a bionic leg for the sporty teenager whose right leg was amputated due to complications related to the bone cancer.
Last week the Gwernyfed High School pupil fulfilled her promise to Naina, having her long locks completely shorn off, raising more than £2,000 for Naina's fund, which will now support others in a similar situation to Naina.
