Police have warned that properties in Powys that own quad bikes and off-road motorbikes are being targeted by criminals.
Dyfed-Powys Police issued the warning this week and urged residents and businesses to "step up their security" to take immediate action to deter thieves.
The tips police offer are:
• Remove keys from vehicles when not in use, put them in a key safe and store them in a separate building if you can
• Fit vehicles with Construction Equipment Security and Registration Scheme (CESAR) marking, trackers and immmobilisers
• Lock sheds and garages and consider using a ground anchor
In order to prove your vehicle's identity if stolen, police urge you to:
• Mark equipment with a house name/number and postcode
• Note down serial, VIN and chassis numbers and keep records somewhere safe
• Take photos of your vehicles, including any identifying features
