BURGLARS have stolen electrical items from the Argos store in Brecon overnight after smashing their way in through the glass doors.
The outlet is inside the Homebase store at the Brecon Enterprise Park and the raid saw a window panel on the automatic doors pushed through.
The Argos store was closed for much of Thursday but re-opened this afternoon. The larger Homebase shop has been open as normal other than the one door which was sealed off by police tape.
A police forensics officer was at the shop working behind the sealed off area at lunchtime.
It appeared the raiders climbed through the door and dashed for the Argos concession which is close to the door.CCTV pictures showed the two suspects leaving the store carrying what appeared to be two large bags.
Dyfed-Powys Police said a vehicle was used in the raid, though it has no details about it, and is hunting two men who had covered their faces.
The force said the break-in happened between in just 10 minutes from 10pm last night, Wednesday, September 12.
A spokeswoman for Argos said the store was temporarily closed to support the police investigation and apologised for any inconvenience. We can confirm our Brecon branch has reopened following an incident last night. The store was temporarily closed to support the police with their investigation and we’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police on 101.
