Rescue teams had earlier located a group of teenagers lost in the Brecon Beacons - but a helicopter has been unable to land due to the bad weather.
Mark Jones, of the Brecon Mountain Rescue Team, said: "A group of three are still unaccounted for and they are believed to be in the same area where the helicopter located the group.
"Mountain rescue ground search parties are at that location below the Fan Hir ridge, south of Llyn y Fan Fawr.
"Some are being evacuated by helicopter, which can only take two at a time, and the others are being walked down.
The group are believed to be within a one mile area of the others and it's hoped they will be located fairly soon."
The missing children were spotted by a rescue helicopter from St Athan and mountain rescuers are now trying to reach them on foot.
The landlord of the Tafarn Y Garreg pub, Andy Maglaras, told ITV mountain rescuers have told him 14 of the 24 missing children have been found and are on their way to the pub to recover.

The children, from England, are in their mid teens and are on the Beacons as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award. It is reported that two of the party are suffering the effects of hypothermia.
It is believed there is intermittent phone contact with the four groups of six children who are not accompanied by an adult. The coastguard rescue helicopter from RAF St Athan has also been drafted in to help with the search. The Police said: "We have been informed that a group has been located and the helicopter has landed with them. But at this stage, they have not been removed from the mountain, and we cannot confirm that all in the group are accounted for. "Sarah Williams, the local councillor for Abercraf, said the area is popular with groups of school children. She said: "You see lots of school minibuses up there, and a lot of them are from England, and local comprehensive schools do go up there as well."Let's hope they are all found safe and well."
