Brecon Fire Station is an on-call station, which means the firefighters live and work in the community and respond to emergency calls from their home or place of work. Brecon Fire Station, along with most on-call stations in Powys, are struggling to provide 24-hour crewing to the fire appliances.

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service is looking to recruit more on-call firefighters, the role is challenging and highly rewarding, with full training provided and no previous experience needed to apply.
