Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a burglary which occurred at a property in Velindre, Brecon.

Sometime overnight Monday 25th/ Tuesday 26th January 2021 the animal medication, Phenylbutazone, was stolen.

The medication, known as ‘Bute’, is not to be consumed by humans due to the potential for very serious side effects. The medication, which comes in sachet powder form, can cause serious problems to the gastrointestinal system.

Police are urging anyone who has been offered the medication not to take it as the side effects can be very serious.

Anyone who has been offered the medication , or anyone who has information that could help the investigation is asked to contact police quoting reference DPP/0008/25/01/2021/01/c.
