TWO teenagers are in hospital after suffering serious injuries during an early hours incident in Sennybridge.

Dyfed Powys Police said the 16 and 18-year-old males had sustained serious head injuries shortly before 1am on Wednesday, July 29.

Two 18-year-old males have been arrested on suspicion of assault and remain in police custody.

Police had taped off part of the village following the incident which the force said had occurred in the Defynnog Road area.

Temporary Detective Inspector Steve Lloyd said: "At approximately 00.54am this morning, police were made aware of an incident of assault in the Defynnog Road area of Sennybridge.

"Officers attended immediately, and found an 18-year-old male and a 16-year old-male had sustained serious head injuries. Both males were conveyed to hospital where they remain in a serious condition."

Dyfed Powys Police has asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has further information to contact it on 101.
