A BOOK detailing the royal stamp collection was among a hoard of second hand books damaged in a freak flood.
A burst water pipe flooded Andrew Morton Bookshop in Lion Yard, Brecon writing off stock worth around £4,000.
The shop has since re-opened but among the items damaged was the stamp collection catalogue 'The Royal Philatelic Collection' compiled by Sir John Wilson Bart, which was on sale for £120.
"It's a beautiful book but there isn't a shelf big enough to put it on. Once the books get damaged by water you can't do anything with them," said bookshop owner Andrew.
