A Brecon charity are holding a candlelit vigil in the town to remember those who have died or been affected by suicide.

Brecon & District Mind is hosting the candlelit walk on Friday, September 10, as part of World Suicide Prevention Day.

The event will start from Bethel Square at 7pm before ending with the vigil at Brecon Cathedral.

The charity is looking to “create hope through action” and to spread awareness around mental health conditions and suicide.

Tho se who are unable to make the walk but who still want to take part can meet the charity and other participants at Brecon Cathedral at 8pm.

Brecon & District Mind is an invaluable resource for the town as it provides a safe space for people as well as various resources and a wealth of information on various mental health conditions.
