THE Breconshire Brewery is calling time on its business - citing the 'competitive and fragile' market.

Howard Marlow, who launched the brewery in December 2002, said it would close its doors for good on New Year's Eve, December 31 with the loss of six jobs.

"When we started brewing there were perhaps no more than 10 breweries in South Wales, there is now over 60 in Wales and more starting up all the time," said Mr Marlow.
