Builth Wells Young Farmers Club along with Powys Association of Voluntary Organisations (PAVO), are helping tackle isolation and loneliness, and improve mental health across our rural communities.

The Club has been busy creating their ‘Talking Bench’ where people can sit and chat about their problems.

The new bench is designed to encourage conversation, promote mental wellbeing, and help people in need get the support that they deserve.

Member Deryn Evans explained: “The bench has a number of inscriptions including - a problem shared is a problem halved.

“This encapsulates our hope that people will sit, chat, reflect and get the support they may need. The YFC will also be running a month long campaign to raise awareness of mental health issues.”
