Trustees, staff and volunteers of the arts and health charity Celf o Gwmpas, based in Llandrindod Wells are pictured admiring artwork that is part of an an exhibition of work recently created by people living with dementia, funded by the Arwain Leader Plus programme. Charity worker Sarah Hill said “This was a very successful project that also involved local people with learning disabilities. We have a full programme of events, workshops and activities that support many people in the community.”

Celf o Gwmpas is holding a fundraising evening of Music, Wine and Pudding, on May 17 at Doldowlod Hall LD1 6HG, three miles north of Newbridge-on-Wye on the A470, by kind permission of the Gibson-Watt family.

Paul Jays, chair of trustees, tells us that Celf o Gwmpas produces a huge range of work on a shoestring budget. “Every penny counts” he says “we need the support of the community so that we can continue to develop work that brings enjoyment and pleasure to people living with challenges and difficulties. Mid May is a lovely time to visit Doldowlod and we are grateful to MT and Julian Gibson-Watt for their support. The music for the evening will range from classical to folk, the ticket price includes a glass of wine and a serving (or two) of delicious puddings made by our supporters.

Tickets are still available from Celf O Gwmpas on 01597 822777
