THE annual Stowe Duck race took place on the River Teme at Stowe bridge and raised £955 for St Michael‘s and All Angel’s Church, Stowe.

The event was well attended by locals as well as those holidaying in the area.

Duck race results were:

Yellow race: 1st Pippa Fowler, 2nd Granville c/o Sara Smith, 3rd John and Carol.

Green race: 1st Alana Deakins, 2nd Isobel Morris, 3rd Esme Fowler.

White race: 1st Freddy Brick, 2nd Sarah Smith, 3rd Trevor Price.

Blue race: 1st Jane Bywater, 2nd Tim Scragg, 3rd Sharon Griffiths.

Pink race: 1st Andrew Davies, 2nd Esme Brick, 3rd Sid Blower.

The orange race with a £100 1st prize was won by Michael Berkley.

Raffle winners were Sue Bond (2), Jimmy Scragg, Russell Williams, Bob Jones, Colin Bentley, Jonathan Coltman-Rogers and Joe Thranum.
