Police in Brecon have taken a pooch into custody but are appealing for the owner to come forward.
The dog was found in a remote area of the Brecon Beacons this afternoon and officers have launched a social media campaign to help find its owner.
The black and tan coloured terrier was found on the A4215 at Forest Lodge and Heol Senni junction, which is between Libanus and Defynnog.
The dog, which has been shared to the Breconshire Police Twitter account, was wearing a white ruff and red collar after 1.30pm today.
Update: The dog has now been reunited with its owner.
