That old saying ’the early bird catches the worm’ may well prove true for people anxious to get hold of tickets for next year’s Green Man Festival.

While metaphorically the embers are still dying down from the campfires at this year’s hugely successful event, those keen to make sure of getting one of the best spots next year can do so by buying one of the Earlybird tickets that have gone up for sale on the Green Man Festival website.

No big-name acts have so far been announced for the 2018 festival but the 2017 event included a storming set by two-time Mercury Prize winner PJ Harvey, and other names from the music world such as Ryan Adams and Sleaford Mods, while Billy Bragg and the author Irvine Welsh were speakers in the popular Talking Heads feature.

Those keen to book tickets at the Glanusk Estate venue in the shadow of the Black Mountains for the weekend of August 16-19 2018 can do so by visiting http://gmfe.st/18eb.

The Earlybird tickets include entrance to the festival and camping from 10am on Thursday, August 16.

Different rates are available for adults, students, families and teenagers/children (accompanied by responsible adults aged over 21). Entry for children aged 4 and under (also accompanied) is free but a ticket is still required.

In addition, those who want to turn their Green Man experience into a week’s holiday, when they can explore the fine sights of the nearby Brecon Beacons, can do so by purchasing a 2018 Settlers Pass. This will allow them to camp at the Glanusk Estate venue from Monday, August 13 2018 for three days before the festival opens. Tickets include access to the festival.

Nine-month payment plans to help with the cost of purchasing the tickets are also available.
