An elderly man has been taken to hospital after a collision with a car in Llandovery.

Dyfed-Powys Police were called to the collision involving a silver Mitsubishi car and a pedestrian at Queensway at 11.35am on Wednesday.

The Welsh Ambulance service said it was called at 11.25am to reports that a pedestrian had been hit by a car.

An elderly man was taken to Glangwili General Hospital in Carmarthen in a stable condition.

The Welsh Government’s traffic service reported delays on the A40 in both directions in the town following the collision.

Police said the road was blocked and was cleared just after 12.35pm.
