There has been a large police presence in area of Brecon this afternoon amid concerns for a man at an address.

Up to five police cars and an ambulance attended at Bridge Street in the Llanfaes area of the town.

Police officers carrying a baton were also seen coming out of a property and leaving the area in a police car shortly after 4.30pm.

Dyfed-Powys Police said it received a call at 3.54pm regarding concerns for the welfare of a man at an address.

A spokesman for the Welsh Ambulance Service said: "We were called at about 4.20pm by our police colleagues to reports of an incident at an address on Bridge Street, Brecon.

"A crew in an emergency ambulance is currently at the scene."
