Only Men Aloud are coming to Llandrindod Wells as part of their first tour in five years.

The Welsh male voice choir have been delighting audiences around the world for more than 20 years and are well known for their strong vocals and their varied and eclectic repertoire.

A typical Only Men Aloud concert will feature many different styles of music including Welsh hymns and folksongs, opera and musica theatre all the way to acapella and pop music.

In the first wave of planned announcements, the men will play Llandrindod Wells, Bath, Tenby, and Newbridge, with a special ‘Gala Concert’ at Barry Memorial Hall on December 7.

The Llandrindod leg of the tour will take place on Saturday, November 23 in The Albert Hall.

Craig from Only Men Aloud said: “After five years, we’re finally back on tour and we can’t wait to sing to all of our friends and fans – it’s been too long!

“We’ve really missed touring and can’t wait to get on the road and perform for you all once again. Christmas has always been a really special time for us and we’re excited to sing our Christmas songs to you, and start off your festivities.”

Only Men Aloud were named BBC One’s Last Choir Standing which this led to an album deal with Universal Records. In 2010, they won a Classical Brit Award for Best Album of the Year. They toured every year after winning the show, all around the world and have worldwide record sales of over 300,000.

Only Men Aloud have given many memorable performances over the years, with numerous appearances at outdoor festivals and proms, including supporting the legendary Diana Ross at Cardiff Castle in 2022. They have performed twice at The Royal Variety Performance, been seen on numerous television programmes and are familiar faces at sporting events; they sang at the opening ceremony of the Ryder Cup in 2010 and the Ashes in 2015. In 2014, they undertook a highly successful tour of the USA including performances at the famous Ravinia Festival in Chicago and the North American Festival of Wales in Minneapolis, not to mention have performed at The UEFA Champions League Final Celebrations in Cardiff. They also performed at the London 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony.
