ESTATE Agent Russell Baldwin & Bright has teamed up with St David’s Hospice Care, to help raise money for the local ‘Hospice at Home’ service provided by St David’s.
As part of the national Hospice Care Week, which runs all next week from October 9-15, St David’s Hospice Care is putting on an Autumn Canal Ramble along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal.
The walk takes place on Sunday, October 15, covering the 17 miles from Llangynidr to Goytre Wharf. There’s also an eight-mile route from Gilwern, and a five-mile route from Llanfoist.
Transport is provided, so ramblers can leave their cars at Goytre Wharf, take the bus to a chosen starting point, and walk back to your car.
Russell Baldwin & Bright has printed 1,000 flyers promoting the ramble. Sally Morris, fundraiser for the hospice, said: “It is great to have the support of Russell Baldwin & Bright again this year. We really appreciate the help with publicity which is being provided completely free of charge. The more money we can raise locally, the more we will be able to help local families – last month in Powys we provided well over 300 hours of Hospice at Home care, as well as helping patients in the day hospice.”
Mitch Bouette, manager of the Brecon office of Russell Baldwin & Bright, said: “We are delighted to be supporting such a worthwhile local cause. We hope lots of people will join in with the Canal Ramble, to help to make it a really successful event.”
