Sennybridge YFC enjoyed a packed and successful month, kicking off with preparations for the YFC Rally.
The Rally Day itself was a lively mix of competitions and activities, from halter making and floral arrangements to promoting safety products, plus a lively Maescar main ring display featuring David Attenborough and wildlife-themed fun.
Visitors enjoyed a variety of food stalls at the Crai Cul-de-snack, ranging from burgers to crepes, before heading to Llanfihangel Nant Baaarn for sheep shearing and an exciting Tug of War.
The hard work paid off when Sennybridge YFC was awarded first place for both Rally Day and the Winter Competitions – a well-deserved recognition for the dedication of members and officers.
The day ended with a fantastic performance by the popular country band “Country Bound,” followed by Gwilym’s disco. The rally dance saw record attendance, with friends from other counties joining the celebrations.
Special thanks go to Rally Chairs John and Dyfed, and Secretary Rhianwen, whose enthusiasm and fresh ideas helped make the event such a success. The rally was hosted at Llwynstifillin by the Havard family, whose generosity and support were vital. They welcomed the club back at the end of June for a fundraising dinner.
The dinner, organized by Elin Havard and John Phillips, raised money for the Host County Royal Welsh Show 2026, Velindre Cancer Care, and Sennybridge YFC. The evening featured an entertaining MC role by Roland Phillips, a delicious meal by Golden Valley Catering, and a fun rugby-themed challenge. Richie Davies took home the prize.

The night finished with a lively disco from Tim Belcher, keeping everyone dancing until the early hours.
Looking ahead, Sennybridge YFC is excited for their Fun Day in August and the upcoming AGM, where a new set of officers will take the reins - hopefully for a quieter year!
