It’s been a busy few weeks for members of Sennybridge YFC.

Eight Sennybridge members had the honour of representing Brecknock at the Wales YFC Field Day. They had a wonderful time competing and experienced and some great results too.

Ellis and Matthew gained second place in the Junior Fferm Ffactor competition.

Sennybridge members Fion, Meg and Elin were part of the Senior Stockjudging Team that gained third place overall, and the Junior Stockjudging Team members Anest, Ceryd and Nia also put in an excellent showing.

The fun then continued when Sennybridge’s senior members dusted off their cues and darts the following week on played late into the night at Brecon Rugby Club.

Special congratulations goes to Cerys who came second in the girls’ singles pool and to Richie and Iestyn who beat Elin and Ffion in a nail-biting all-Sennybridge darts doubles final, as well as clinching second place in the pool doubles.

Members then swapped their Redbacks for their trainers and worked up a sweat for a highly enjoyable sports day event.

Sennybridge would like to thank all of the guests who joined in from other clubs.

Jacob won gold in the Boys 100m (U14) as did Ellis in the U18 category.

Matthew cliched first place in the Boys 400m (U18).

In the Girls 400m event, Anest gained a silver medal (U14) and Ellis came second in the Boys 800m (U18).

Sennybridge also won silver in the Mens 5-a-side football.

The club enjoyed bronze medals in both the Ladies netball and mixed rounders events.
