AFTER a damp start, the fine afternoon saw the President Viv Jones welcome everyone to the show. People enjoyed viewing the wonderful display in the marquee, with David Meredith tastefully judging over 130 cookery entries and the joint winners again for the second year went to Sylvia Worth and Revd Ian Charlesworth. Some 24 premature hats had been knitted and kindly donated to Singleton Hospital. Some lovely flower arrangements depicting ‘Remember the Fallen’ along with produce, craft and photography which filled the marquee.

Horse/pony and dog classes were well supported but unfortunately due to the Governments policy on ‘quarantine units’ the sheep section were well down, but the sheep there were of a high standard.

With various stalls, competitions and sports there was plenty to entertain everyone before the evening speed shearing. A very popular and great finish to the Show.

Shearing Winners: Junior- Baden Powell; Intermediate – Chris Potter; Seniors – Gwilym Williams; Veterans – Rhydwen Price; Open – Jonny Rees.

The Committee would like to thank everyone for their support, especially Mr & Mrs Tom Bowkett, all judges, stewards, sponsors and helpers. Also thank you to everyone who came and supported the Show.

The show dinner and dance is being held at the Castle Hotel, Brecon, on Friday, November 2.
