A VARIETY of Brecon and Radnorshire residents will be fulfilling a burning desire by becoming torchbearers in the run-up to this summer's Olympic Games.

In addition to our very touching story on teenager cancer survivor Jemina Morris and her involvement in the event, several Mid Walians are gearing up to run a leg of the relay over the next week - just a handful of the 8,000 members of the public nationwide who will be involved.

One of those is Erika Cunningham, of the Erwood Station Craft Centre and Gallery.
