Four people have died after a two-car crash in Rhayader on Good Friday, police have said.

The collision, between Church Street in the town and the Llangurig roundabout, happened at 11.45 on Friday morning and the road was closed for most of the day.

Police told the BBC that two people from each car were killed and one more remains in hospital.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police on 101.
