THE Community Hall at Dolau was packed to capacity on Saturday for the vintage tea organised by Annette Watkins to raise funds for the Friends of Llandrindod Hospital.
During the delicious tea of sandwiches, savories, scones and cakes and afterwards, everyone was entertained by the musical group Invoice, who delighted with a wide range of songs and music. Alongside the usual raffle and guess the weight of the cake, members of the Friends committee ran a gift and cake stall.
All this, together with a number of donations brought in a total in excess of £1,000.
Annette thanked everyone for their support which will go towards improving things at the hospital for staff and patients, and said how vital it was that these local facilities were supported and kept open.
