GOLDEN girl Natalie Powell has shared her Commonwealth Games glory with youngsters at her first judo club. The 23-year-old from Beulah near Builth Wells turned up at the club's weekly Monday night training session at the town's leisure centre just 48 hours after winning gold for Wales in Glasgow. The university student won Wales' second gold medal of the games on Saturday, lifting the early doom around Team Wales following injuries, suspensions and withdraws to help spark a medal rush that has already seen the medal target reached midway through the championships. Natalie said: "Wales was behind me, my teammates, my family, coaches and friends, they believed I could win." Irfon judo club's Richard Jones, who first coached Natalie and younger sister Kirsty, who also represented Wales in Glasgow, when they first arrived at the club aged eight and six, said: "One thing Natalie always wanted to do as a youngster was to hear that Welsh national anthem at the Commonwealth Games, it's been her inspiration from the start."
