A National Health Service website offering advice and information to patients had been revamped.

The relaunch is intended to make the NHS Direct Wales site more user friendly and fully compatible with mobiles devices.

The website allows people across the country who are feeling unwell and unsure what to do with quick and easy access to health advice whenever they need it.

Tailored services include symptom checkers, which can people choose what to do or who to see next if experiencing common health problems like diarrhoea, hay fever, stings, dental problems, cuts or feel generally unwell.

There’s also a local health and social care services search function to enable people to find the nearest dentist, minor injuries unit, pharmacy, GP, sexual health clinic and other services.

Other updates include a pregnancy and baby guide and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender health section.

There are also ten steps to losing weight, getting active, loweringalcohol intake and giving up smoking.

NHS Direct Wales is inviting people to provide feedback on the new website, which can be found at http://www.nhsdirect.wales.nhs.uk/

Feedback can be sent by tweeting @NHSDirectWales or liking the service’s Facebook page.
