A BRECONSHIRE resident who is battling bowel cancer has spoken out about her ordeal this week in order to raise awareness of the disease.
Mandy Lyons 49, was diagnosed with bowel cancer in February last year after tests at Brecon War Memorial Hospital detected a tumour.
Mother of one Mandy who moved to Brecon from Bristol nearly four years ago, told The Brecon & Radnor Express: "I had been back and forth to the doctors with various symptoms including being unable to go to the toilet despite eating and drinking as normal, overwhelming tiredness, bleeding and pain in the bottom, and piles."
