I joined Facebook at the beginning of lockdown with the help of my granddaughter. She set me up on it with my name… and picture (much to my dismay!) and linked it with my family members and some of my friends who we were able to find.

It has been very useful to use, I’ve been able to keep in touch with family at all times and all without needing to picking up the phone all the time.

I have enjoyed using Facebook although getting a little fed up of all the negativity and hatred I see on there.

I wouldn’t want to be a politician in this day and age. Of course they are in the public eye and knowingly take on responsibilities and duties… but some of the comments I have seen directed at them are awful.

It’s good to disagree and be rightfully angry by some decisions. But can’t these issues be discussed without resorting to personal attacks?

Now that the worst days of the coronavirus seem behind us, I think I will go back to phone calls and door knocks to keep in touch!
