Llandrindod Wells & District Motor Club has donated an incredible £3,000 to the Bracken Trust.

Members raised the money for the cancer support charity based in Llandrindod Wells thanks to the success of a charity trial held back last September, in which more than 190 riders took part.

The club was formed at the beginning of 2019 with the vision being to organise trials events for not only adult riders throughout Mid Wales and the surrounding counties but to develop and entice youth riders into the sport.

The club runs four youth events throughout the season and is also a host club to the Welsh Motorcycle Federation’s Welsh Youth Championship rounds.

The club organises four adult rounds in which the youths can also ride with their finale at the Fforest Fields Long Lap Charity Trial held in September. This trial includes 30 marked sections, all off road, over a 25-mile lap.

The entry to this event saw riders coming from all over the country to ride and the feedback received looks as though they are all planning a return journey in 2022.

The success of theses event has meant that the club has been able to donate a significant £3,000 to their chosen charity, the Bracken Trust.

The riders also dug deep into their pockets for homemade cake and coffee which bumped up the amount the club were able to donate.

Anyone interested in joining the club in 2022, as a rider or a friend, should call either Sian or Gary on 07723 015 287 or email [email protected]
