THE coffee morning organised by Iris Anderson and held in Penybont on the day of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning raised £467.68.

The Macmillan coffee morning cake (pictured) was made by Mabel Agnew and all the jams, preserves and baked goods where donated by local ladies and a gentleman. Everyone sang happy birthday to Elliot, a young local resident who was celebrating his first birthday.

George and Carol of the Severn Arms hosted the coffee morning and provided the teas and coffee. Helping were Carol Bedford, Annette Watkins, Geoff and Tess Lloyd, Rita Drew and Iris Anderson. Geraint Hughes did the draw.
