A BRECONSHIRE animal-lover was killed and his girlfriend seriously injured when they fell down a 150ft cliff trying to rescue their pet puppy.

Engineer Rhys Clark, 27, of Velindre, near Talgarth was killed instantly in the tragedy but his girlfriend Ania, 25, miraculously survived with serious injuries.The pair were walking the one-year-old puppy, named Sherlock, at a cliff top at Southerndown, near Bridgend, when he playfully tumbled over the edge and onto a ledge more than 10ft down - before they fell trying to rescue him.Rhys' heartbroken mum Janet, 64, of Velindre said: "I had the most wonderful son, I don't know what I'm going to do without him.
