A man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries following a crash which closed the main road between Brecon and Merthyr Tydfil this morning.

Dyfed-Powys Police said its officers as well as the fire and ambulance services attended following the single vehicle crash near Libanus at 4.10am.

A silver Volkswagen Bora car had left the road.

A police spokeswoman said: " A man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The road was closed until around 6.10am."
