A MAN who went missing from his home in South Wales in October may have been seen in Builth Wells and Rhayader in the past week.
Jaymie James went missing more than six weeks ago and until this week there had not been a sighting of him for more than a month.
Tammy Nicholson, Jaymie’s sister, has been in touch with the Brecon and Radnor Express asking if we could help find Jaymie by posting a missing person alert on our website and Facebook page.
She says Jamie is 6ft 2ins tall with green eyes and “an enormous beard”. It’s likely he is still wearing the same sandals and shorts he was most probably wearing when he disappeared and could now be much thinner than in his photo. She also says he suffers from epilepsy and a mental health condition and will not have taken his medication and so could be in a bad way.
In her message on the B&R’s Facebook page, Tammy wrote: “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind posting a missing person alert on your Facebook page. My brother Jaymie has been missing for six weeks, [but] there have been some sightings in Builth Wells and Rhayader this week. The police have been excellent as usual and are trying their best. I am happy for you to use the images and the copy from my own post.”
And in her the post on her own Facebook page she says: “Please share far and wide, on any groups. My brother Jaymie James has been missing for 6 weeks from his home in South Wales, we have had no sightings of him for nearly a month now. We have no clue as to where in the country he will be. He could be in the towns or out in the wilds. He will now not look like his photo. He will be much, much thinner and very dishevelled. [He is] 6’2”, green eyes [and has an] enormous beard. He could have found some clothes by now but he will more than likely still be wearing his shorts and sandals. Look at the feet of all the homeless you see, look for sandals, as shoes are hard to come by. Please we are desperate now as the weather is turning so cold. His behaviour will also be telling, as he will be quite ill and talking to himself after 6 weeks without his medication.
“As well as a serious MH condition He also has a form of epilepsy that could be making him forgetful. Please help find him, he is one of our most vulnerable members of society. Please check outbuildings and farm buildings. If you see anything call Gwent Police on 101, quoting case 376 15 Oct 2017. Please don’t wait or think about calling or even contacting the family through Facebook as valuable time is lost. Please call the police anywhere that you are, if you think it’s him.”
