A car which crashed into a shop in Llanwrtyd Wells is thought to have come from Builth Wells say police.
Officers are still appealing for information about what they called a “serious injury collision” at around 12.25am on Friday, January 24.
A silver Renault Clio, the only vehicle involved, which had been driving on the A483 collided with the Premier Stores in the village causing significant damage, including taking out the support pillar.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokeswoman said: “It is believed that the vehicle and its occupants had been in the Builth Wells area on the evening of Thursday, January 23.
“Anyone who has information regarding the circumstances of the collision and/or information relating to the occupants of the vehicle and can help with the police investigation is urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit.”
A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of aggravated taking of a vehicle without consent and careless driving following the crash.
Both he and another man were taken to hospital following what the police called a “serious injury collision”, however the extent of their injuries at this time is not known.
A Welsh Ambulance spokeswoman said: “We were called shortly before 12.30am on 24 January to reports of a collision on Dolecoed Road in Llanwrtyd Wells. ?“We sent an emergency ambulance to the scene, and two people were taken to Nevill Hall Hospital.”
The A483, the main route through the village, was closed until Tuesday morning, January 28 however one lane is now open with traffic lights in place to control the traffic.
