Members of the public can now nominate candidates for the Welsh Ambulance Service’s staff awards.
The trust holds a ceremony to recognise individuals with long service and good conduct and for the first time eve is opening up the nomination process to the public.
Tracy Myhill, chief executive of the Welsh Ambulance Service, said: "We could not function as an ambulance service if it were not for our staff and volunteers, so it’s really important that we celebrate their contribution.
"Awards ceremonies are a wonderful way to recognise the sterling efforts of our colleagues who demonstrate overwhelming commitment and do a great job for the people of Wales, every day.
"We’ve been working behind the scenes for many months now to ensure this year’s awards are as streamlined as possible, and that the ceremony itself is bigger and better than before.
"As ever, I’m so inspired by the excellent service we provide across all aspects of our work and throughout the whole organisation, and I can’t wait to see this reflected in this year’s submissions."
Nominations are welcome from staff, volunteers, patients, members of the public and partners.
Patients can also nominate for the Patient’s Choice Award which is an opportunity for patients to thank an individual or team who’ve helped them.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony at Llandudno’s Venue Cymru in October.
Nominations can be made at the Welsh Ambulance Service’s awards page by June 30. Visit http://www.was-tr.wales.nhs.uk/Default.aspx?pageId=312&lan=en
