GRATEFUL parents from Radnorshire have helped raise over £2,400 for the unit that treats sick and premature babies at Swansea's Singleton Hospital nearly two years after their newborn twins were treated there.

Rhosgoch residents Joanne and Gareth Stafford-Tolley's baby boys, Cian and Huw, were born 12 weeks early at the hospital after complications developed with blood flow to one of the twins.

With family and friends stepping in to help, including Cian and Huw's uncle Colin Bufton, the captain of Rhosgoch Golf Club, who was instrumental in helping Joanne and Gareth fundraise, the couple were able to present a total of £2,411 to the unit.

"We owe the hospital our boys' life and this is just one way in which we could repay them," said dad Gareth, 37, a groundsman with High Ground Maintenance, Felindre, near Brecon.

"Our thanks to them and to everyone else who helped to support us along the way."
