A PEDESTRIAN has died after being struck by a car in a lane in a remote area of the Brecon Beacons on Friday evening.
Dyfed-Powys Police said 50-year-old David Jonathan Bown died at the scene on the unclassified road between Dolygaer and Pontsticill.
He had been involved in a collision with a Hyundai Terracan 4x4 at around 6.30pm on Friday, February 22.
Police said in a statement: "Ambulance attended and attempts were made to save the 50-year-old man, named as David Jonathan Bown, but sadly he died at the scene. His family is being supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
"Road closures were put in place on the B4558 at Talybont. The vehicle was recovered and the road re-opened at 11.30pm.
