A PENSIONER killed after she was trapped underneath her ride-on lawnmower died as the result of an accident.
It is thought the machine had toppled over after 73-year-old Julie Ann Coade had attempted to mow a steep bank in her garden at her home in the village of Trallong, near Brecon.
She had been preparing the garden for a church fundraising event planned for the following day when the lawnmower fell on top of her shortly before 5pm on Saturday, August 30 this year.
At an inquest, held in Brecon Powys coroner Andrew Barkley said Mrs Coade's death had been an accident.
She had been a community councillor in Trallong until 2013 and was a member of the village Women's Institute, the Trallong Ladies Choir and also a well known fundraiser for Cancer Research as well as being an active supporter and member of the village church.
