Brecon photographer Zoe Mathias has enjoyed yet more success from behind the lens, with a number of her photographs selected for local calendars.
Zoe, who until recently was the senior front of house manager at Theatre Brycheiniog, specialises in capturing the natural world around her. She enjoys going for walks around Mid Wales and beyond, and taking snaps of what she sees.
The amateur photographer has won a place in the Talybont-On-Usk calendar for the third year running. Two of her photos have been chosen to be published in the 2022 calendar.
Two of Zoe’s shots have also been used in this year’s Brecon Rotary Calendar for 2022.
Zoe’s eye for a good photograph is definitely paying off as she has also had a photo of the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal canal in autumn feature on the front cover of the Local Beacon in November, which included a little feature about her work.
In October, Zoe’s sunset photo of Carew Castle in Pembrokeshire caught the eye from further afield when it was printed in the BBC Countryfile Magazine.
Zoe said: “This has given me the confidence to create my own calendar for 2022 featuring some of my favourite photos.
“£2 from each calendar will be donated to Shelter Cymru, which prevents homelessness in Wales.”
Calendars can be purchased from Boughrood Stores, Bobbins, Brecon and Monmouthshire Building Society in Brecon.
Zoe’s work is also set to be included in the Found Gallery throughout November and December.
