POLICE in Brecon are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault at the town’s Promenade.
Dyfed-Powys Police said it has arrested a 28-year-old man in connection with the incident, who has been released on bail as police continue their investigations.
Officers have taped off a 100 metre stretch of the Promenade near the Watergate car park.
The alleged assault is said to have occurred in the early hours of Saturday, February 27.
The victim is being supported by specialist officers, said a spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police.
The force is asking anyone who was in the Promenade area between 2am and 3am on Saturday to contact officers on 101.
