THE 37th Pont ar Elan Show has been described as another enjoyable and successful event with perfect weather.

Rhayader mayor Clare Evans judged the craft competitions, including a new competition man with the beast beard which attracted 13 entries. Best photo of a tree had 51 entries.

The committee thanked major sponsors, Haydn Evans, Rhayader Animal Health for the Foxhound Classes; Mid Wales Incineration for the Terrier Classes; and Rhayader Four Wheel Drive, for the Lurcher Classes.

Janet Hughes, Aberglanhirin, ran the raffle and the committee thanked all the stewards and helpers before the day and on the day, a team of young and old, who helped the event take place.
