Brecon Rotary is pleased to announce the launch of its 2023 Charity calendar.

Now in its third year, the calendar contains a range of local landscapes under the theme of “Beautiful Breconshire”.

All the photos were taken by local professional and amateur photographers which were submitted to the annual Rotary photography competition.

All income raised from the calendar sales is put into the Rotary Community Chest Fund, which over the years has distributed funds to a wide range of local community organisations such as; Help the Homeless, Brecon Town Concert Band, Grow for Talgarth, Llangasty Village Hall St Davids Foundation in addition to many others.

Rotary President Cath Quarrell said: “We were really pleased that our 2022 calendar raised over £1,100 and we hope that we can beat this figure with our new calendar. We are extremely grateful to the photographers for the use of their lovely photographs, to all the local retailers selling the calendars and lastly to the 12 sponsors whose contributions ensure that for every calendar sold £5 goes to the Community Chest.

“Now that the holiday season is in full swing we feel sure that the calendars will appeal to the many visitors who come to the Brecon area in addition to local demand.

“As there is a limited number of calendars printed we do recommend that B&R readers buy theirs early to avoid disappointment!”
