A TEENAGER arrested on suspicion of the murder of a man in Presteigne has been released from police custody.

Detectives did have until 6pm this evening (Thursday) to question the 19-year-old, who was arrested on Monday.

Dyfed Powys Police said this morning it had released the man from custody on police bail.

Darren John Deakins, who was 42, was found at Wents Meadow with serious injuries early on Monday morning, August 19 and died later that night at hospital in Hereford.

Police are continuing their inquiries and ask anyone with information that can assist them to contact them on 101.
