PRINCE Charles has helped The Brecon & Radnor Express celebrate its forthcoming 125th anniversary.
The Prince of Wales joined proprietor Sir Ray Tindle - the chairman of Tindle Newspapers - to unveil a commemorative plaque.
The Brecon & Radnor Express celebrates its 125th anniversary in October 2014, having first been published in 1889.
The informal ceremony also saw the prince and the press baron announce a partnership between the Prince's Countryside Fund (PFC) and Tindle Newspapers.
The Brecon & Radnor Express - and other titles - will carry the PFC logo on their mastheads throughout next year, while Sir Ray has given £100,000 to the charity which was set up in July 2010 by Business in the Community and The Prince of Wales, who has a long-held commitment to supporting Britain's hard pressed rural areas.
The plaque was unveiled at the offices of the B&R's sister paper, the Abergavenny Chronicle, by the prince during a day of engagements in South Wales.
