THE Dean of Brecon Cathedral, the Very Reverend Geoffrey Marshall has preached his last sermon. The 66-year-old led the service at the mother church of the Swansea and Brecon diocese on Sunday, June 2 for the final time. He is now leading 20 pilgrims to Armenia and he and wife Hazel, 64, will retire to Derbyshire on his return. During his six years as Dean, Geoffrey has overseen numerous improvements to the Cathedral building while he has also held a Christmas tree festival and become a regular feature at the Brecon Jazz Festival, donning 'daft' outfits and parading with the Adamant Band.
