THE mother of a son with a curved spine is to run a half marathon to support the only recognised charity carrying out research into his rare condition.

Tracey Davies will be joined by close friend Alyson Broome, both of Llandrindod Wells, in running the Cardiff Half Marathon on October 16 to raise funds for and awareness of the Scoliosis Campaign Fund.

It's a cause close to 34-year-old Tracey's heart, as her son Reuben, eight, was diagnosed with congenital scoliosis - a curving of the spine - when he was just 18 months old.
