SOUTH Powys parents got to hear the fruits of their children's weekly rehearsals with South Powys Youth Music on Wednesday, March 20 when the organisation staged a Gala Day at Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon.

The ten hour marathon featured performances during the day by the Primary Strings, the Shake, Rattle and Roll group and the South Powys Junior Orchestra while the evening showcased music by Stringtastic, the Percussion Group, the Junior Wind Band, the String Machine, the Senior Wind Band and the Choir.
